Mark Brummitt is associate professor in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible and assistant dean of students at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. Hailing from London, he trained as a registered nurse before being ordained in The Salvation Army. Brummitt has regular speaking and teaching engagements in the Rochester, New York area and beyond, and he heads the education program at Christ Episcopal Church, where he also often preaches. Brummitt studied performance at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and he serves on the board at Blackfriars Theatre in Rochester, where he is on the script selection committee, cohosts a book club, and occasionally still performs. Brummitt went on to study theology at King’s College in London and Union Theological Seminary in New York. He specialized in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible at the University of Glasgow.
