This is the first of two articles exploring denominational and religious affiliations of students in ATS schools. Thanks to new guidelines created by the Research and Data Advisory Committee under the direction of Deborah H. C. Gin, director of research and faculty development at ATS, individuals may request data for their own research and scholarship.
ATS Student Data Services offers useful tools for schools to understand and track their students and alumni/ae, benchmark their findings in the context of trends in theological education, and inform the work of educational and institutional assessment. The instruments below are offered as a fee for service and are supported by regular workshops and webinars.
The Entering Student Questionnaire (ESQ), Graduating Student Questionnaire (GSQ), and Alumni/ae Questionnaire (AQ) track demographics, levels of debt, motivations for entering seminary, satisfaction with the effectiveness of the education received, and professional plans and experiences.
