The Board of Commissioners has approved Lancaster Theological Seminary's request for a change in ownership and governing control. The first step in this process transferred management oversight to the President of Moravian University and Dean of the Moravian Theological Seminary. This occurred on July 30, 2021. The Board required a follow-up report by September 1, 2021, and authorized a focused visit within six months (i.e., effected January 2022) of this change in ownership and governing control, per Policies and Procedures, IV.C. The seminary will continue as a separate degree-granting entity until all approval processes are complete (anticipated late 2025).
