Project Title:Our Classroom is Western Canada: We Meet There in Mission
Project Description:To become more deeply missional, Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon (LTS) is shifting to a model that emphasizes course offerings in an immersion format in locations across the area that we serve—Canada from Thunder Bay westward. The context of study will be truly missional, welcoming instruction from a variety of local figures along with faculty direction and inviting laypeople into our classes along with those preparing for rostered ministry. This approach also enables LTS to continue the work of decolonization, learning from Indigenous forms of education. Immersion courses will be supported by online offerings and some Saskatoon-based classes.
Project Area:Church vitality and equipping lay leaders | Diversifying students and curricula | Engaging publics and contexts | Non-degree and continuing/lifelong learning | Residential education | Upskilling pastoral and ministerial leaders
