Project Title:Pathways for Prophetic Problem Solvers: Strengthening Pastoral Leadership in the Pulpit, Parish and Public
Project Description:Responding to a long-held frustration with theological education, this grant project supports the Interdenominational Theological Center's redesign of its academic program and educational delivery model to better equip leaders who are called to the prophetic pastoral tradition of the Black Church. This model integrates situated learning through institutional partnerships, constructive problem solving and design methodologies, and a hybrid educational delivery model for rising pastoral leaders who need to understand and navigate systems in the congregation (pulpit), community (parish), and civic (public) environment.
Project Area:Competency-based models | Engaging publics and contexts | Institutional restructuring | Non-residential education | Organizational partnerships and networks | Upskilling pastoral and ministerial leaders
Project Start Date:22-Jan-01
