By registration; ATS is once again linking the annual Seminar for New Presidents and the Presidential Leadership Intensive to maximize opportunities for collaboration. The Seminar for New Presidents is designed for recently appointed presidents, rectors, and executive deans to explore the variety of responsibilities that are central to theological school leadership, and to engage in conversations about their roles and identities as institutional leaders in ATS member schools. New CEOs are encouraged to participate within first three years in new position. The Presidential Leadership Intensive Conference gathers chief executive officers to share insights about their distinctive work as leaders of theological schools. Participants engage crucial issues in theological education through conversations with peers, expert presentations, workshops, and interactions with ATS staff. New presidents will gather December 9 and 10, and all presidents will gather December 10–13. #ATSCEOS2019

By application—event is full; Designed for academic deans in their first year or two of service, the school will provide new deans with important information and nurture the development of the skills that will make their work more effective and fulfilling. It will acquaint new deans with the resources available to theological schools through ATS, facilitate connections between academic deans serving within the distinctive world of theological education, and continue the process of formation into the vocation of the academic deanship. #ATSNewDeans2019

They will explore what Latin@ leadership/experience offers to the conversation of models of theological education, share experiences uniquely related to their leadership, and discuss ways of developing pipelines toward executive leadership for women and new scholars around the theme Building Pipelines of Connection, Support, Advocacy, and Leadership.

By registration; This free webinar will present highlights from the 2019–2020 Entering Student Questionnaire (ESQ) Total School Profile and trends from the last five to ten years. It will focus on: educational and religious backgrounds of entering students, student pathways to seminary, and vocational goals of incoming students. This webinar is designed for academic administrators and would also be beneficial for any faculty and board members who are interested in trends in theological education.

By invitation; Offered by the staff of the ATS Commission on Accrediting, this workshop is for ATS member schools with comprehensive evaluation visits scheduled in the spring 2022 semester. It provides contexts and opportunities for participants to engage with one another and with the staff to obtain experience and tools for constructing appropriate, adequate, and effective institutional self-studies in preparation for comprehensive and initial evaluation visits. Registration is free of charge, but schools will be responsible for payment of travel and housing expenses for their representatives.

By registration. An annual conference to provide African American presidents, deans, and chief academic officers of ATS member schools the opportunity to discuss areas of common interest and concern. The theme for the 2020 gathering is Mentoring Gen-Next: Cultivating Executive Leadership for 2030. The event will focus on professional development and community support; self-care and strategies for thriving; and financial forecasting and strategic planning.

By invitation; This event is designed to launch a mentoring program enabling experienced women leaders to provide mentorship for younger women leaders over a period of three years. The pilot mentoring program will gather together ten mentors with three mentees each for this initial conference to set up the program and provide guidance for the process. This year's theme is Mentoring the Next Generation of Leaders.

By nomination of academic dean; ATS will host this gathering for faculty members who are completing their first or second years in their institutions. ATS sees the exploration of vocation as the event’s overarching theme. Accordingly, two academic deans, two assistant professors, and two associate professors will share their own expectations and experiences regarding how an individual faculty member might not only survive, but hopefully thrive, within the shared vocation of a theological school. #ATSFACULTY2020

By invitation; The goal of this program is to increase the educational effectiveness of ATS schools in educating racial/ethnic students and all students in cultural competence. Twenty schools involved in a two-year project to develop their capacities to educate racial/ethnic students more effectively and/or work on educational practices to prepare all students for ministry in a multiracial culture will reconvene to share best practices emanating from the implementation of their educational strategies.
