By registration; The 37th annual conference will offer workshops on topics related to annual giving, planned gifts, personnel management, internal and external collaboration, and communications, with opportunities for professional development and peer interaction in a distinctly theological context.
By registration; This conference is structured around serving administrators from multiple areas of student services including admissions/recruitment, career services, enrollment management, financial aid, housing and student life, and registration. Persons like deans of students and directors who have broad oversight of other staff members working in these areas will also benefit from the practical how-to workshops and discipline-specific presentations and plenary gatherings.
By nomination of academic dean. This seminar is designed for those who have served in theological schools for a significant time but who are now in the position to reshape their vocations as theological educators and take on more significant leadership roles within their schools. The Gathering for Racial/Ethnic Faculty Friday morning is designed to address issues of particular interest to racial/ethnic faculty as they emerge as leaders within their schools. Participants are, of course, expected to stay for the larger gathering that begins Friday afternoon.
By invitation; The forum—scheduled to take place in conjunction with the 2019 Academic Officers' Conference—is intended for recipients of the Educational Models Faculty Development Grants and is open to a limited number of additional academic deans as space allows. Each grant recipient school is invited to bring up to two persons to attend the forum (normally the academic dean and a faculty member, one of whom should be the project director). The purpose of the forum will be to gather information and insights to inform other participating schools and for the benefit of the broader membership. The forum will begin at 8 a.m. and will conclude after dinner at 7 p.m.
By registration; Conferences are scheduled each year to provide educational and professional development opportunities, a collegial network, and a context for nurturing the vocation of the academic officer and envisioning its future development. This year's conference will immediately follow the 2019 Women in Leadership Deans' Consultation.
