Goals of the Technology and Educational Practices Project
By the end of the project, ATS anticipates that the following goals will have been achieved:
- ATS will have identified a range of good practices with regard to the use of digital and educational technologies that can enhance educational effectiveness. These practices will include the institution-wide development of capacity and infrastructure and the application of educational technology in specific areas of theological education.
- The seventy-one schools that received Lilly Endowment technology grants will have continued to increase their skill and capacity, due at least in part to their involvement in the activities of this program, and an additional 100 ATS schools will have received guidance and support in the development of infrastructure and skill in the use of educational technology.
- Member schools of ATS will have an array of resources, across a variety of subjects and in multiple formats, to guide them in the selection and use of educational technology in theological education.
- ATS will have reviewed its accrediting standards to ensure that they adequately address issues of digital technology and educational practice.
